With less than 3 months left in 2010, I’ve decided to review my accomplishments for the year so far. I had established certain goals for this year – beyond New Year’s resolutions, they were tangible goals that I wanted to achieve before the year was over. This year was the first time that I had taken the time to write down my goals and it is amazing what a difference that made.
I wanted to make 2010 my best year to-date. I had gone through several years that were drama filled and to be honest, emotionally exhausting. Clearly what I had been doing in the past wasn’t working for me, so anything that was going to shift the pattern was a welcome change! I had participated in a yoga and meditation workshop last year where participants were asked to write down what they wanted their lives to look like a year later. This was a great exercise – something that I never tried doing before. I’ve talked about my goals with friends and family, but never had I actually sat down and taken the time to write them down. It seems like such a simple thing, but makes such a difference in making the goals seem more real and more achievable.
One of the things that I was determined to do this year was to establish a regular yoga practice. It was one of the goals that I had written down on more than one occasion in the months leading up to the start of 2010, and it is definitely one of the goals that I have successfully achieved for this year. I have established a yoga practice and I am so pleased with the changes that I have seen in my mind, body and soul. Creating this website and establishing my coaching practice was another one of the goals that I had set for myself for 2010. I have enjoyed getting back into writing – something I used to enjoy so much when I was younger, and hadn’t thought would be something that would become a part of my professional life.
